Also learned about an artist Howard Somerville who painted a large portrait at the museum. It's always neat to learn new things!
Such a wonderful event held tonight. Everyone was so pleasant nice to be around and very helpful
The art collection was nothing but a disappointment. I expected to see a wide variety of art but it was nothing but a disappointment. The lighting was poor and one could not see the art quite well. The staff also were very poorly informed about the art. They could not even provide information about where the art was from.
A neat museum with exhibits varying from ceramics, glass, guns, and an unexpectedly large collection of oil and watercolor paintings. I particularly liked the Julie Chen art book exhibit. I wasn't expecting a huge museum for this city, and I wasn't disappointed.
Doesn't always have the best exhibits but it's still a very nice museum and a nice feature for the city to have. Saturday free kids art classes are great and well instructed.
Enjoyed listening to The Cabell Midland Collegium Musicum perform today at the Huntington Museum of Art. Very nice museum.
