I honestly cannot say anything negative about this place. Service was fast and friendly, bathrooms were clean, the antique vibe of the atmosphere was cool and the food was TERRIFIC!
I have eaten here since the 90s. The food has always been good but for one the foods never hot enough. 2. Sometimes you get shorted on the food you order and sometimes its missing something on the order. One of the lady wait staff is really rude to me when i called back with an issue in a to go order..really? That's not how you bring customers back if there is an issue. I am extremely unhappy how the service has been here lately. When i called back about a issue with my order i heard the lady talking and complaining about the issue i had. I if i have an issue with my meal i will be calling back. I have ate at all the restaurants in town and have never been treated so rude. Is this how you treat recurring customers central city cafe?
Great Homestyle Cooking great experience
Let me begin by saying this is one of the friendliest restaurants you'll ever go to! The food is mama and papa styled and it is delicious. The only problem with the restaurant would probably be the price but that is made back up with the hospitality you'll receive while you're there. When you're done finish it off with some nice homemade pie in this unique restaurant.
We arrived at the Central City Cafe right before they were shutting down for 10 days for vacation, and because of that, they had not re-ordered some of their food. We really wanted to try the meat loaf, but we were sorry to hear they had run out. However, the cheeseburgers we had instead were REALLY good, loaded with cheese, and huge! The menu had a lot of great comfort foods, and we look forward to a return trip someday when they're fully stocked. Service was excellent, and no fewer than 3 people came to our table to be sure we were happy. This is a small casual place with great food and great people. Highly recommended!
